Veterinary Rehabilitation promotes optimal healing from an illness, injury, disease or surgical procedure. The animals who have the opportunity to partake in a rehab program experience a faster return to fun and function. Rehabilitation utilizes joint mobilizations, stretches, therapeutic exercise, laser, acupuncture and hydrotherapy such as an underwater treadmill. Each therapy session is entirely tailored to the needs of your pet in respect to where they are in the recovery process and how they may be feeling that day. Each session also includes a whole body evaluation to determine what particular areas or muscles are painful, have spasms, and need additional treatment. When one area of the body is not at optimal function, or is less mobile, there are a cascade of other areas that become overworked or too mobile, and these areas also require treatment to manage pain and promote healing.
